Bud Light is the quintessential American beer, the reason that uppity Americans and Europeans make fun of American brewers. But, it is still a good beer. It is light, and refreshing, which is exactly what an American man wants after mowing the American lawn.

It is not a connoisseur beer, it is a beer for the masses, and as such it accomplishes all goals set out for it. It serves the purpose as a beverage, and as a drunkening device. While the Miller people are touting so proudly that Bud Light has less taste than their alternative, their poll has absolutely nothing to do with preference. The fact of the matter is, that Bud Light might have less taste (and is thusly a light beer) it still tastes better than Miller Lite.

The only thing wrong with Bud Light is the lack of taste, it is a bit watery. I like a bit more substance in my beer. But, it can get me drunkified, if I drink enough. It is very much so a mass beer. It is by design a beer to be drunk by everybody. It is not strong towards hops, or malt. It is a very unoffensive beer, that serves to further American social life. I cannot say it is delicious, but I can say that it is better than the alternative, Miller Lite. Much like Busch Light it is just plain good beer.
